Traveling through time
Where have you been for the last month?
I'd be hard pressed if I had to account for our answer to that question. It's been the fastest month of our lives, and the dust is only now just settling. There's something about moving that seems to drum up the biggest todo list of all time: finding the right homes for all of our plants - very important - organizing Kijiji sales, unpacking all of our stuff, and reconnecting with family and friends.
It's exciting and exhausting at the same time!
For all of the logistics we've dealt with, Naomi and I have managed to go exploring every single weekend since moving to Saint John. We're pretty happy about that, and we've both found ourselves shooting much more as a result. When you see us with our cameras out and big smiles on our faces, it's safe to say we're feeling content and inspired. Both good things. :)
On the subject of inspiration, I'm still gushing pretty hard about the things Naomi's accomplished since landing here. Let's recap.
She landed a photography job with the wonderful Kelly Lawson before even leaving Toronto.
She pulled together enough product to set up at The Studio on Prince William for "Shop The Block", where she saw similar foot traffic to a Toronto neighbourhood flea market - on a cold, rainy day to boot.
She appeared on the front page of the Telegraph-Journal's Salon, accompanied by a full feature on her craftswomanship (yep, making that a word!) just two weeks in.
And of course, she's crafted several new product designs. While working full-time and settling in to a completely new city. Because, you know, she's Naomi.
Look at this happy customer!
Stay tuned for updates on future adventures, Saint John! And thank you - for being so welcoming to two tired Torontonians looking for a change.
